Jubilee products

Overview

Jubilee does not (other than through its Asgard business in Ireland) insure private motorists or individual traders. The market for individual motor insurance is well served by established Insurers and increasingly through the internet via so called aggregator websites.

Jubilee therefore operates in the commercial areas of the motor market where it can add value through its underwriting and claims handling expertise. It insures Fleets which range from just a few vehicles, to many thousand vehicles. There are very few types of Motor Fleet which Jubilee does not have the ability to underwrite, although its specific area of expertise is in tailoring specific premium structures to meet the needs of large corporate Fleet operators, including those operators looking to accept a significant portion of their own motor insurance risk.

Jubilee has been an active participant in the Taxi insurance market since the Syndicate began trading in 1997. It works in close partnership with a few chosen specialist intermediaries to underwrite a growing and profitable portfolio.

The Coach insurance market is one in which Jubilee has particular expertise, and Jubilee is among the leading participants in this market. The Active Underwriter, Julian Cashen, has many years experience of underwriting coach business and has shown his personal commitment to this sector by remaining an active participant in the market even when many other Syndicates and Companies withdrew from it in the late 1990s. Despite there being a number of new entrants to this market Jubilee, because of its excellent reputation in the field and its strong relationships with specialist Brokers, is continuing to develop its account in its chosen market sectors.
