Specialist Lloyd’s insurer, Jubilee Managing Agency Limited (Jubilee), has been appointed to provide a dedicated amateur motor sport personal accident scheme for amateur race and rally drivers who hold Motor Sport Association (MSA) competition licences.
The scheme, through motorsport insurance specialist Motorsports Race & Rally Insurance Services (MORIS), is designed to provide drivers with personal accident cover whilst practicing, testing and racing in any of the 5,000 MSA club organised events in the UK and others in Europe during the competitive season.
The scheme is offered exclusively through the MORIS web site (www.moris.co.uk), the world’s first on-line motorsport insurance website, launched in October last year. It is underwritten through Jubilee’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 5820.
The MORIS Competition Personal Accident scheme provides for Accidental Death and/or Permanent Total Disability with an option to include Partial Disability. Optional extensions to the cover are also available including Temporary Total Disablement and Emergency Medical Expenses and Repatriation for those racing outside of the UK.
Graham Sims, Head of Accident & Health at Jubilee, commented: “MORIS has an outstanding reputation for insurance solutions for members of the motorsport world so we are delighted to have been selected as their partner in this new venture. Our underwriting and servicing approach means we are able to respond to the very specific needs of many different affinity and membership groups.”
MORIS is a trading name of Everitt Boles Ltd. Managing Director Justin Everitt says: “We have developed the world’s first competitive online motorsport insurance solution that delivers our customers relevant protection to the highest standards of service. Jubilee’s expertise provides us with a dedicated cover backed by the strength of Lloyd’s which meets all our clients’ expectations.”
